Mommy Hairstyles
Here's a little pick-me-up: a simple update in your hairstyle from Lil Sugar.
BRAIDS
Easy and stylish, side-swept braids... keep hair out of a mama's face and under control when she's out with her kids. To change up the style, consider weaving a scarf into the braid.
PONYTAILS
A staple for moms and their lil girls, the ponytail can be worked high, low, tight, or loose for various looks. A stacked ponytail looks pretty chic, while a loose and messy one adds some hipster glam to a mama's look.
BUNS
A bun doesn't have to look like you stepped right out of a ballet studio. Low, quirky buns look like mama put some effort into her locks, without being overdone.
HEADBANDS
Headbands can hide a host of sins, most importantly the wisps that come with postpartum hair loss.

What do Men Really Think About Your Hair?
But what do the guys really feel about all our painstaking efforts (or sometimes lack of it) to fix our crowns of glory? A recent article from Cosmopolitan.com posted on Yahoo!'s Shine! network clues us in on what guys think about our hair:
WHAT MEN REALLY THINK ABOUT YOUR HAIR

From uncensored opinions of men to scientific evidence about what turns them on, here's what dudes are paying attention to. We asked 100 guys on the street about these hair trends— and were a little surprised by their answers.
Signature Styles
We asked, do you care if a girl styles her hair the same way every day? 71 percent said no. 29 percents said yes. Jennifer Aniston sticks to her signature style, and hey, it works!
Boho Braids
Are boho braids cute or cuckoo? 83 percent of our guys said cute. 17 percent said cuckoo.
Hair Up? Or Down?
Actually, it might be the action that matters just as much as the style! 43 percent of guys said they love watching a girl put up her hair, while 37 percent said they enjoy watching a girl let down her hair. 20 percent said both are equally hot and Leighton's covered either way!
Asymmetrical Haircuts
When we asked, what do you think of asymmetrical haircuts? 76 percent said they love them. 24 percent said they hate them. Dudes definitely go for Gwyneth's edgy, uneven ends.
Mega-Long Hair
Guys always say they like long hair best, but there has to be a cutoff point, right? When we polled our dudes, 55 percent of men found Lauren Conrad’s mid-length locks sexier than her mega-long mane.
You can read the original article here!
And since fun and flirty hair accessories are back in fashion right now, I wonder what guys would think about feminine floral headbands like Leighton Meester's?

I don't know about you, but I think there's always something appealing about such a pretty, dainty style.
While we can't even begin to fathom the price tag to that lovely piece, here's something that looks close enough but is equally fab AND affordable!

Blue Monday!

It's Monday once again so it's time for all things Blue!
I have posted this photo in a previous entry, but I thought of posting it again for Blue Monday since I absolutely adore this baby. She is the darling baby daughter of one of our dear friends, Margaret. I have actually just told Margaret a while ago how crazy in love I am with her baby! And look at this charmer, who wouldn't fall in love?
In this photo, she is even wearing our Bubble Dot Organza Bow on Organdy Band. It's actually Lavender, but it has blue details ;o)

Margaret is also a mommy blogger and I always visit her blog because she has loads of interesting stuff. If you're a book lover, you'd adore her blog too because she has written heaps of book reviews! Go ahead and say hello to her at Creative Madness.
If you would also like to share blue things that you fancy, join in the fun and visit Smiling Sally, our lovely host. She is actually scheduled for another operation, so she is in our thoughts and prayers. Please do take time to drop her an encouraging note!
PONDER, PONDER, PONDER...
What's your favorite day of the week? Would you consider your Mondays "blue"?

Ruby Tuesday!

So for this Ruby Tuesday, I decided to post two images that shout out bloom, bloom, bloom!
I have always been in love with cherry blossoms. Their subtle beauty mesmerizes me. In full bloom, the flowers are a breathtaking shade of pink. When the petals dance into the air, you are almost swept off into a world of fanciful whim.
I know, I know, it's not PINK Tuesday. So I made sure there's a hint of red somewhere in the photo as well. That's why I am thrilled to have found this image with an actual cherry in it! It's not a striking red, not even ruby red, but it does pop out at you. It looks so fresh and just there for you for the picking!

To make up for a not-so-red photo, I decided to also post this next one. It's one of our most flamboyant flower headbands (can you tell? haha!) and I adore how striking it is. And yet it still looks very dainty. Understandably, we named this line "Show Stopper." Because when people see your little girl abloom in this, everyone WILL stop and look!

I hope all you ladies have a bright week ahead of you!
For more fantastic red images, or if you'd like to add some of your own, please do join Ruby Tuesday here!

Too Cute for Words!
They tried on our clippys and headbands on darling Codie Raye, a four-month-old baby girl who has almost no hair! And here's what they had to say:
"Now Codie Raye has almost no hair to speak of… but darned if that little hair clip didn’t just stay right in place on the few hairs she has. And it was comfortable due to the base being lined with velvet. The headband looked darling on her and it wasn’t scratchy or uncomfortable. These uniquely designed hair clips have a magnet in them so they easily stay in place. The No Slippy Hair Clippy store online has every imaginable design and color you could ever want. Go to their website and see for yourself www.hairclippy.com"
You can check here to see the review, plus an adorable photo of Codie Raye ;)
Thank you so much!!!

All Yours and Only Yours
Recently we got a lovely one from lovely mom Christine of theiemommy.com. She tried out No Slippy Hair Clippy's Salena Monogrammed Fabric Button Hair Clips on her equally lovely twin girls. Here's an excerpt of what she thought of the clips:
"...we just finished Christmas and I can not tell you the number of gifts the twins were told that they needed to “share”. Now, I am all for sharing and teaching children to be kind and gracious… but when you are a twin… especially an identical twin…sometimes you need things that are just your own.
I believe that is why we fell in love with the Personalized Clips from No Slippy Hair Clippy. We received a very pretty brown and pink clip for Skylar personalized with “S” and a pink and green for Rylan personalized with “R”. My girls were thrilled! “This one is mine” they each proclaimed as they put them in their hair.
I have noticed that they wear them a lot... even when they don’t match their outfits. Why? Well, when they are asked “Which one are you?” as they are asked on a daily basis… they just point to their barrette."
The rest of her lovely story can be found here.
And here are the Salena Monogrammed Fabric Button Hair Clips, available in two adorable colors:
Check out the personalized headbands too :)
Thank you so much, Christine! We're glad that you and the girls loved the clips! Now Skylar and Rylan have something that is truly their own.

The Boom Boom Room!
We recently received an invite to the Boom Boom Room's Pre-Golden Globe Awards Baby & Big Kid Wonderland Villa. To be held at a posh location in Beverly Hills, this is one BIG event that will gather together top baby brands to get the chance to directly gift A-list celebrities, leading press outlets and buyers from Hollywood's trendiest boutiques. This is definitely a HUGE marketing opportunity for No Slippy Hair Clippy's! An amazing chance to showcase our adorable hair accessories. We are so thankful to be part of it.

Now on its fifth year, this event was the brainchild of TV personality and glamor guru Jayneoni Moore. In previous years, it was attended by celebrity moms and dads like Tori Spelling, Denise Richards, Brooke Shields, Halle Berry, Patrick Dempsey and so much more. And it's been covered by People Magazine, Instyle Magazine, Entertainment Tonight, E! News Live and Insider, to name a few. Imagine, all of these big names trying out our hair accessories for themselves!
Truly, I cannot express how grateful we are to have been invited to this event. Especially to you, for your continued support contributed so much to our brand's success. We love you and all your little girls! You've helped make so many amazing things possible for No Slippy Hair Clippy! We can hardly wait to show off all our best hair clips, baby bows and head bands.
During the event, I will be tweeting about everything that's happening. So be sure to follow me on Twitter: iClippy. I promise to keep you updated on all the juicy stuff!

Simply Sensational Reviews
"I loved these headbands. They stayed put on my busy toddlers' heads. The first time they wore them, we went to church. Afterwards, the headbands were still in place. When my girls were babies, I never used headbands. I didn't like the elastic tight feeling that most baby styles have. These were soft, not tight fitting and I would have loved to had these for my girls hair. If you're looking for that special occasional headband or a few for everyday use, then check out the site. The prices are a little more than what I generally would pay for a headband, but you are paying for quality. These will last you and you will not be disappointed. There are many of their products that I can put on my wish list." --Kim
You can read the rest of her review here.
"These headbands live up to their No Slippy name and claim, for the most part. CJ's hair is a bit finer than K's and the headband does have to be repositioned more often but the clippies stay put no matter who's head they are on. R has a hard time pulling the clips out; they are so soft that she doesn't even seem to notice them in her hair. I plan to purchase more of this product in the future and CJ has already circled her requests in the flyer we received in our package." --LM Harris
Check out the rest of her review here. These moms have a pretty cool site!
Thanks so much, ladies! :) We are thrilled that you and your girls loved our headbands!

Gossip Baby?

Well, for moms out there who want their little angels to channel this upper east side cutie, here's something from No Slippy Hair Clippy's Head Bands selection.

The headbands are made of lightweight materials like Swiss velvet, satin, organdy, lace, organic cotton and stretch grosgrain. So they stay atop your daughter's head without hurting her. Plus, with such adorable designs as those, do you really need any more convincing? :) Hair accessories should not be the same ol' boring ponytail! I say go ahead and prettify your baby!
Here's to lovely days ahead!

Another glowing review for No Slippy.
Yep, I'm honest :)
*NOTE: On ALL of my product reviews, I am honest and give my honest opinions on the product/s I am sent to review. If there is something about the product that I dislike, I will tell the company first, and if they still want me to review their product for them, I will post it, if not, I will not do a review on the product upon the companys request. So, if all you see on my website and blog is POSITIVE reviews, that is why*
I noticed right away the difference these barrettes had between the ones on the market. The No Slippy Hair Clippies are just that, not slippery and don't slide out of hair unless you make them. What makes them so different? Well, they fully wrap each hair clip in the highest-quality Swiss Velvet, so it's always soft against your baby girls head, it will never tug on her fine hair, and they tuck a small, safe magnet under the velvet to create a secure, guaranteed non-slip clasp. How neat is that? I can tell just by the feel of these clips that they are indeed comfortable. My daughter is not one to keep things in her hair for very long, what 19 month old does? But, it did last a little longer with these cute barrettes. Still, when she was done, she was done, LOL! But in her fine hair, these did stay put and looked fabulous!
I recommend these to any Mom struggling with their little girls fine hair, trying to find barrettes that stay put! I next tried the adorable head bands. Super cute on and off. I am not sure if I noticed a real difference between the headbands and the headbands that are on the market now, but I did notice they are a lot cuter than most!
Here is a few photos of her adorable little girl wearing No Slippy:
