My Rescue

It's amazing that the King of kings of Lord of lords would take the time to listen to me when I call out to Him. And it's even more amazing that He would run to my rescue, even when I fool myself into thinking that I can make it on my own. Yet, He has always proven Himself faithful and He has rescued me many times over.

Whenever I need rescuing, He reminds me of a different 911--- Psalm 91:1. When the world proves too much, He welcomes me into His arms and gives me rest.

I have entered this inspiring photo in both Blue Monday and Word-Filled Wednesday. Have a meaningful week, everyone!

Blue Monday!

It's Monday again and so it's all about blue!

Today, I am sharing our Nahla - Button Polka Dot Flower clips. With its bright and bubbly colors (we have Pink, Shocking Pink, Lime and Turquoise), it's the perfect way of welcoming Spring. We love that it comes in a refreshing turquoise color because as you know, fashion experts have predicted that turquiose is the color of the year! How much more perfect can these clippys be? ;o)

Happy Blue Monday everyone! If you'd like to join in, visit our lovely host Smiling Sally here!

Blue Monday!

It's Monday once again so it's time for all things Blue!

I have posted this photo in a previous entry, but I thought of posting it again for Blue Monday since I absolutely adore this baby. She is the darling baby daughter of one of our dear friends, Margaret. I have actually just told Margaret a while ago how crazy in love I am with her baby! And look at this charmer, who wouldn't fall in love?

In this photo, she is even wearing our Bubble Dot Organza Bow on Organdy Band. It's actually Lavender, but it has blue details ;o)

Margaret is also a mommy blogger and I always visit her blog because she has loads of interesting stuff. If you're a book lover, you'd adore her blog too because she has written heaps of book reviews! Go ahead and say hello to her at Creative Madness.

If you would also like to share blue things that you fancy, join in the fun and visit Smiling Sally, our lovely host. She is actually scheduled for another operation, so she is in our thoughts and prayers. Please do take time to drop her an encouraging note!

PONDER, PONDER, PONDER...
What's your favorite day of the week? Would you consider your Mondays "blue"?

Blue Monday!

Boy, how quickly time flies! Before I knew it, the weekend has come and gone. Already. Like it had been trying to avoid me. I was even about to rejoice over its arrival, but then suddenly Monday has already dawned.

I used to hate Monday---with a passion. And believe me, there aren't many things that I hate. But when I thought about it, I had no idea why Monday was this horrible monster that it was to me...

It didn't do anything hurtful to me. It didn't secretly add too much salt on my stew when I wasn't looking. It didn't hide all the left feet of my socks. It didn't laugh at me when I got a bad haircut.

Actually, Monday has always been pretty nice to me. All the Mondays I have ever "met" have even been very helpful to me. Sure, Mondays are challenging almost ALL the time. But at the end of the day, it's on the toughest Mondays where I learn to push myself and to push harder. It's when I learn to become stronger and wiser. So that I can easily match the jabs that the rest of the week throws at me.

I never thought of it this way before, but today God has inspired me to do so. I feel so blessed, realizing that all these Mondays that he has given me were days that he has helped me to stand firm and to stay strong.

I actually look forward to Mondays now. It's still not my favorite day of the week, but I've decided to be a bit friendlier to it now. No matter what monstrous Monday knocks on my doors, I think that the two of us will get along just fine. Because I know that for both the best and worst times of life, I am never alone: "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." (Psalm 73:26 [NIV])

I chose this picture because I like how the girl looks so joyful and free. It's exactly how I feel whenever a terrible day dawns on me, but God rescues me and gets me through it. (I didn't shoot this photo, though! It's from sxc.hu!)

Happy Blue Monday everyone!

If you'd like to join and share a piece of your Monday too, check out Smiling Sally's blog here! She's the lovely lady who hosts Blue Monday each week.

Blue Monday!

I don't normally get excited about Mondays, but somehow it was different today. I'm not sure why, but maybe because... another day means another meme! :o)

Today I'm joining Smiling Sally's Blue Monday. But not because I'm blue today. On the contrary, I'm pretty excited about welcoming Spring. And when I think of Spring, I can't help but also think of Easter.

All the Easter bunnies and baskets and eggs and candies! I absolutely love how much life Spring brings with it. From a gray and sodden winter, in comes Spring with all its bright colors. It rejuvenates the spirit and almost beckons you to be youthful and free.

What's your favorite season?
